Coach Ben

Benjamin began fencing at age six. Nine years of lessons, practices and competitions now inform the way he explains the sport to younger athletes — clearly, patiently and from direct experience.

Benjamin works with children and young fencers ages 7–13, including beginners taking their first steps in sabre and developing athletes preparing for competition.

Sessions focus on stance, footwork, balance, coordination, distance, blade fundamentals, equipment, safety, fencing etiquette and preparation for a first tournament.

Benjamin earned his Junior Coach certification and accepts the responsibility that comes with teaching children: age-appropriate instruction, careful supervision, encouragement and respect for the sport.
